Texas EMS School is part of Axon Education Consortium — a Texas operator focused on one thing: putting qualified, field-ready EMTs and Paramedics into the communities that need them.
We believe the biggest barrier to EMS careers isn't aptitude — it's scheduling. Most programs require you to stop working while you train. Ours don't. Online asynchronous coursework means you set the pace. In-person skills labs and clinical rotations happen at partner sites across Texas, so you don't relocate. You work, you train, you test, you work in EMS.
The guiding principle at Axon Education: Primum Respectum Date — first, give respect. To students, to patients, to the profession.
All three programs — EMT, Advanced EMT, and Paramedic — are approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services. Graduates are eligible to apply for Texas licensure immediately after passing the NREMT exam.
Curriculum is aligned to National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians standards. Every program ends in NREMT exam preparation and eligibility to sit for the national certification exam.
The Paramedic program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs through CoAEMSP — the national standard for Paramedic program quality.
Texas EMS School holds an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, reflecting consistent, responsive service to students and a track record of resolving any concerns quickly.
